“You wind your way down that trucker's nightmare which is Loveland Pass, headed west. Just as the nightmare aspect stops and you are becoming reasonably confident that the highway is not, after all, going to do you in, you see a small sign on the left:
SKI TIP RANCH – 1 mile

There's a dirt road leading back to the mountains. Take it. Go find out what the world of skiing was like before it became programmed entertainment.”
John Jerome in SKIING Magazine, 1969

CEC/ICMC 2005 is pleased to offer a Companion Program on Tuesday, August 30th at 9:30 am at Ski Tip Lodge. Founders of Keystone Lodge and Ski Resort will be joining you for brunch and you will have the opportunity to hear the history of their home and of the resort’s beginning planning.

The ONLY bed & breakfast actually located within Keystone Resort, the Ski Tip Lodge, is a charming and historic inn. Formerly an 1880's stage coach stop, it was refurbished in the 1940's and opened as Colorado's 1st ski lodge. The views feature Keystone Mountain, the Snake River and beaver ponds.

After brunch and visiting with the founders of Keystone, the companion program will conclude with a historical bus tour that will last approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes (returning guests to Keystone Lodge). You will be required to present your Adventure Passport for this part of the program. The Adventure Passport is provided upon check-in at Keystone Resort. There will be a charge of $15 for participants that do not have their Adventure Passport.

The fee for the Companion Program is $35 per person. Registration for this program will be accepted on a first come, first served basis as part of the conference registration process. Because participation is limited to 35 people, the number of tickets for the Companion Program per conference registration will be limited to two (2). We will be happy to wait list additional persons.

Although you are welcome to drive to Ski Tip Ranch, Keystone Resort offers complimentary resort-wide shuttle service.
